  • Course Outcomes By the end of this course, participants will be able to: ✅ Draft and cut suit patterns for jackets, trousers, and waistcoats tailored to different body types. ✅ Take accurate client measurements to ensure proper fit and comfort. ✅ Sew professional-quality suits (2-piece and optional 3-piece) from start to finish. ✅ Apply advanced tailoring techniques such as pad stitching, canvassing, sleeve setting, lining, and pressing. ✅ Handle different fabrics (wool, linen, cotton blends) and select the right materials for each design. ✅ Finish garments neatly with buttonholes, buttons, hems, and professional edges. ✅ Evaluate and adjust fit for a polished, bespoke look. ✅ Care for and maintain suits to extend their durability. ✅ Build confidence to launch a tailoring business or add bespoke suit-making to an existing fashion brand.

Requirements

  • You will need: A sewing machine (industrial or domestic). Fabric (wool, cotton, or blends for practice). Lining fabric and interfacing. Scissors, chalk, measuring tape, pins, needles. An iron and ironing board. A full starter kit list will be provided before the course begins.
